Sekundäranalytische Rekonstruktion entwicklungskritischer Kernaufgaben und Verlaufsmuster der Unterrichtsentwicklung bei der Einrichtung der integrativen, jahrgangsgemischten und flexiblen Schuleingangsphase
The "Schuleingangsphase" (SEPH) is currently Germany's most promising, yet most challenging educational reform project. The SEPH comprises the first and second grades' curricula. Students are taught in inclusive, mixed-aged classrooms. Schools adopting the SEPH are expected to develop new and effective instructional approaches. Despite more and more schools implementing the SEPH, little is known about the actual change process they undergo. From 2000 to 2003 15 Thuringian elementary schools participated in a study evaluating their attempts. Additionally, this supplementary study investigates more deeply their teaching processes. Qualitative research methods are used to analyze the longitudinal data considering the different levels crucial for educational change (e. g. teacher, principal, school). The findings refer to core aspects needed to successfully implement the SEPH: Thought-provoking learning environments, decision-making based on student-centered data, teacher cooperation, and infrastructure. Furthermore, developmental patterns are discussed. Thus, this study increases our understanding of possible pathways to school improvement.

Kommunikations- und Kooperationsbarrieren in der interinstitutionellen Zusammenarbeit im Elementarbereich
For children who are affected by development risks, it is often necessary to initiate support in kindergarten. This requires interinstitutional cooperation between the elementary education professionals and experts from the medical and psycho-social assistance system. Practice shows that this immensely important task is not adequately fulfilled. Therefore, the work raises the question of what barriers may be partly responsible. Based on a systemic perspective, relationships, attitudes, beliefs, attributions and experiences of the elementary education professionals towards cooperating partners are explored and discussed. The study is based on qualitative research methods.

Familiäre Bildung von Kindern unter drei Jahren : Elterliches Bildungshandeln - elterlicher Bildungsdiskurs - bildungsspezifische Elterntypen
Daily family life is highly relevant to children's educational journey. With this in mind, the present study focuses on the question of what exactly are the educational differences in everyday family life for children aged up to three years. On the basis of interviews, the study was able to identify ten differentiation and analytical criteria for sources of education within the family. With these, complex family circumstances can be differentiated, reflected upon, organised and put into order. A further main finding from the study is the labelling and description of three educational parenting types, determining and making apparent the different educational approaches of various family educations and lifestyles for children. The study is aimed at people in early education, at teachers and people in family-political, educational and socio-political fields. They will be helped to reflect the different needs of parents in order to meet them appropriately. They can better understand how parents deliver their educational information and thereby what subjective logic they follow, which then leads to different educational opportunities for the children.
