Do we have a free will or are we slaves of our brain processes? How can these modifications be described? According to the neurobiological constructivism, developed by Gerhard Roth, neuroscientific findings are integrated in the history of constructivism. On this basis new research is discussed. This process shows the boundaries of neuroscience, which is broadly popular today. On the other hand developments of interdisciplinary scientists are presented and integrated. The goal is to show that only a multidimensional method is adequate to describe human thinking and behaviour. The combination of biological, psychological and sociological approaches is the only possibility to avoid a biologistical perspective, which is inevitably incomplete. The media discourse according to neuroscientific novelties demonstrates the imperative for discussion in society. Thus this dissertation wants to provide a basis für the afore mentioned public debate. |
