Aus - einander - setzung mit Gewalt. Eine orgonomisch - funktionalistische Argumentation

Abstract

Youth violence has been a periodically arising phenomenon for decades. Despite a considerable knowledge about force the problem cannot be solved. Quantity and Quality of the acts of violence doesn t diminish but increases rather. An effective handling of the violence is not defeated because the actors are strange but because of the basic identical orientation of these young people and of the social mainstream. Only based on the cognition of this underlying identity of actor and mainstream we can find ways out of the violence spiral. The investigation Aus-einander-setzung mit Gewalt combines three points of view: The orientation of the actors is analysed by means of the Hallenser Biographiestudie zur Jugendgewalt . Based on more than fifty narrative interviews we can distinguish four kinds of exclusion handling. The criminological study is presented and discussed detailed. On the other hand there is the orientation of the mainstream. This one is developed with regard to Thomas Hobbes and Norbert Elias and also with regard to the explanation factor of Wilhelm Heitmeyer (Desintegrationsansatz) and Travis Hirschi (control theory). In a further step both orientations are led back to the Funktion der Bremsung (slow-down) which is their basis. This widespread view leads me to a position that makes possible new kinds of violence altercations. It comes up to the differences between actors and mainstream as well as to the deciding identity of both perspectives. The discussion via the different perspectives of the underlying function is determined by the orgonomic functionalism.This kind of thinking was developed by Wilhelm Reich and is almost unknown in the social sciences. It is presented, applied and discussed detailed. Just because of the rare combination of hermeneutic data and functionalistic argumentation this investigation is different from the other violence investigations. It uncloses an innovative perspective in the violence discussion.
