Zusammenfassung
This technical paper gives an overview of our new data set on enrolment. most historical enrollment data can be contested, due to measurements, operations, and data quality. this dataset unites these different perspectives to provide researchers with the most plausible scenario of the development of recorded enrollment trends. The data set unites multiple sources on enrolment and therefore provides a trend line, describing how enrolment most likely evolved without claiming historical accuracy of a single data point. The significance of this contribution lies not in its historical representativeness but the comprehensiveness of this dataset. It includes 219 countries and provides data from 1820 to 2018. Overall, this dataset provides a good measurement for enrolment trends over a large country sample for a long period.
