Authors: | Seitzer, Helen | Publisher: | SFB Globale Entwicklungsdynamiken von Sozialpolitik (SFB 1342) | Abstract: | This technical paper gives an overview of the new data set on family data with a focus on LGBTQ+ policies. It comprises rules and regulations to help researchers understand how this policy sector evolved throughout time. The data set contains indicators on adoption laws, constitutional and workplace anti-discrimination protection, civil contracts and marriage laws, the restriction of gender expression, and more. While there are activism groups and other community efforts to collect data, there are no comprehensive datasets available in this format. Therefore, this data set contains enactment dates of regulations regarding the LGBTQ+ community, which can be useful for event history modelling in an academic context. |
