Zusammenfassung
As part of the energy transition, the so-called heating transition is a relevant aspect in achieving climate targets. However, in addition to technical and socio-economic factors, long-term climatological developments are also relevant for the transformation of the heating sector in order to dimension appropriate heating and cooling systems sensibly and thus make urban areas in particular more resilient. As part of the evaluation of long-term air temperature values from the German Weather Service for Bremen, a significant increase in temperatures was observed during the heating period (October to April). This is relevant for the calculation of future heating requirements. There is also an increase in temperature in the meteorological summer (June to August), which indicates that certain heating systems should also be designed for cooling. In addition, the findings were supplemented by analysing the number of degree days (as heating and cooling parameters) for the last 30 years. The results and statistical analyses show a clear trend in each case. Subsequent research projects on the design of heating networks etc. in the context of municipal heating planning require these findings in order to correctly design the systems using energy simulations that are geared towards future scenarios.
