Zusammenfassung
Saluto-genetic resources through opening out of PE teaching Public Health aims at social efforts to preserve and improve public health. In order to achieve a sustainable improvement of public health via sporting activities, differentiated strategies in sports and health research are called for. These include offering types of sports and physical activities at a relatively accessible level and respective possibilities of differentiation, considering models to effect behavioural change which make possible programmes targeted at mobilising specific groups, and an interdisciplinary arrangement of programmes which, beyond the immediate physical, mental and social effects, contribute to the formation of abilities to act and to form relationships. The concept of opening out PE teaching with its methodological apparatus including self-study programmes, work stations, project-oriented PE teaching, interdisciplinary PE teaching, mind mapping and empowerment in PE is supposed, in its practical implementation, to form saluto-genetic resources and thus contribute to the improvement of public health. As specific approaches to health, these particular concepts are always in a multi-dimensional relationship to health and take into consideration these multiple perspectives when setting targets for the improvement or preservation of physical and psycho-social health. Several studies prove that young people are highly affected by subjective health indicators. Causes as well as relief for these stress situations can frequently be found in the area of bio-psycho-social behaviour. In a PE project based on Ajzen and Madden s Theory of planned behavior (1986), we tried to influence the bio-psycho-social behaviour of the pupils of a Year 5, Year 7 and Year 12 of a Gymnasium, via the strategies of opening out PE teaching.
