Abstract
The demands for medical care of patients in Germany and their experiences of medical treatmentare the focus of the study. Asurvey of 5750 persons represents the base of the quantitative analysis. The data show a general ambivalence concerning medical offers of treatment and care.Education, age, gender and chronic illness are the main factors to effect the views of the German medicalsystem.Deficits of the conventional medical care system are offen compensated by using offers of alternative therapies or self-help groups.
