For that there will be discussed different media theories for whose basis computer games, off-line offers and on-line offers are investigated. The communication-theory perspective is complemented around literature (narrative computer games, fictional internet literature, cyberpunk). The media-educational perspective shows how the computer is to be estimated as a mass media in view of children and youngsters. This leads to closing didactic reflexions for German lessons.
