Using a controlled study design, 40 children with ADHD were randomized into a treatment (MPD plus RCT) and a control group (parental education; community care, CC). The treatment group received a multimodal summer camp training (ASCT; 2,5 weeks) including elements of social skill training, attention training and sports all over the day. In all daily situations and activities RCT was systematically applied. We assessed executive functions using a German computerized adaptation of the Continuous Performance test and the trail making test before the training, 6 months and 24 months follow ups. The groups differed significantly in the clinical as well the neuropsychological effects. The intensive RCT (ASCT-group) showed a significant long-term effect even two years after the treatment period.
