Abstract:
The dissertation is engaged in the appliance of data protection law in the field of online-services (Virtual Private Networks) subject to various technical systems. The basic problems are:1. Which liabilities and responsibilities exist referring to different contractual and user relationships and (in particular) to other persons concerned?2. May have complex technical systems any influence on the appliance of data protection and telecommunication law and exists a need of amendments? The dissertation is subdivided into five sections as follows:Section 1 and 2 contain an introduction into technical und legal basics. Section 3 is concerned with the liabilities within the different contractual relationships and in section 4 is the attention turned to telecommuting jobs.Section 5 contains an abstract in theses. As one important thesis is stated that the form of the various technical (online-services) systems may have an impact on the responsibilities of data protection. Furthermore it is considered that in the actual legal system the investigation of every relationship is necessary to judge and divide the liabilities of the involved persons within the scope of an online-service.
