    The aim of this PhD thesis is to analyse the drug therapy for German adult patients suffering from asthma, a chronic lung disease of high relevance for public health. The use of administrative data from statutory health insurance funds seems to offer great opportunities to assess information about the state of health and therapy performance in special patient groups. Since intersection problems and other structural deficits were found, health professions mix, Integrated Care and Pharmaceutical Care may help ameliorating asthma care in the future.
